Terms of Service

1. The service

WC3V is a free, open-source web tool that lets you browse Warcraft III pro build orders and analyze your own .w3g replay files. Replay parsing happens entirely in your browser; replay files are not uploaded to our servers. The site is operated by an individual hobbyist in the United States.

2. As-is, no warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make no promises that the site will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or fit for any particular purpose. Build orders, parsed data, comparisons, and analysis output are best-effort interpretations and may be wrong. Don't rely on this site for anything that matters outside of casual play and learning.

3. Your replay files

When you load a .w3g file into WC3V, it is read and parsed locally in your browser. Parsed metadata (player names, builds, timeline data) may be stored in your browser's local storage so you can revisit your library — this stays on your device. You are responsible for the files you choose to load. By using the tool, you confirm that:

• You have the right to use any replay you load (you played it, or you obtained it through normal community sharing).
• You will not use WC3V to process content that is illegal, malicious, or that you don't have the right to handle.
• You understand that any sharing of replay data with others (e.g. via shareable links you generate, or by uploading the file elsewhere) is your responsibility, not ours.

4. Acceptable use

Don't do anything that would be a jerk move or against the law. In particular, don't:

• Try to break, overload, or interfere with the site or its infrastructure.
• Attempt to bypass technical or security measures.
• Scrape the site at a scale that disrupts service for other users.
• Use the site to harass, defame, or violate the rights of others.
• Reverse-engineer the site to harm its users or operators.

The source is open under GPLv3 — fork and reuse the code under that license freely.

5. Intellectual property

Warcraft III and all related assets, names, characters, icons, and trademarks are the property of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. WC3V is a fan-made, non-commercial tool and is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Blizzard. WC3V's own original code is licensed under GPLv3.

Pro replay files included on the site are sourced from publicly shared community uploads. If you are the rightful owner of any replay or content shown on WC3V and want it removed, contact us (see Section 9) and we'll take it down.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of WC3V is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the site — including, without limitation, lost data, lost time, errors in analysis, browser crashes, or anything you decide to do based on what you saw here. Your sole remedy if you don't like the service is to stop using it.

7. Changes and termination

WC3V is a hobby project and may change, break, move, or shut down at any time without notice. We may update these terms — material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the U.S. state in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that can't be worked out informally will be resolved in the state or federal courts of that jurisdiction.
